Our company was incorporated as an ordinary resident company under the Companies Law of the Cayman Islands in February 1984. Shortly thereafter, it obtained a Class “A” Local Insurer’s License under the Insurance Law of the Cayman Islands, which enabled it to commence writing general insurance (property / casualty) business. In 1999, it added the designation Approved Health Insurance Provider to its credentials, and began writing health insurance business. The company is regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and by the Health Insurance Commission within the Cayman Islands Department of Health Regulatory Services.
We continue to be one of the leading writers of Cayman Islands general insurance and health insurance business, and our financial strength is attested to by the award and annual affirmation of our A- (Excellent) rating by A.M. Best, the leading international rating agency for insurance companies. We operate in both the Personal Lines and Commercial Lines segments of the Cayman Islands insurance market, and our product range includes Property, Motor, Liability and Health.
